Your work. Clearer rights. A closer connection to fans.
You create the work. You should have a clearer say in how it reached people, what they receive and how you participate in its value.
GEX Entertainment is being developed to help filmmakers, musicians and other creators from hobbyists, podcasters, writers, artists, game developers through to major legacy studios and labels build direct-to-fan releases around defined access, meaningful benefits and transparent terms. You retain your copyright and grant only permissions set out in your release agreement.

TAKE CONTROL
Build a release that fits your work.
Keep you copyright. Define the permissions GEX needs to distribute your release without treating publication as a transfer of your underlying copyright.
Make your offer understandable. Explore content access, limited or open editions or membership benefits with clear scope, duration and conditions. Different key levels could carry different benefits; not every release needs resale or advertising.
Set permitted transfer terms. Where suitable and allowed by law, your release could let supporters pass their access or benefits to someone else under stated rules. Agreed payments would apply only to authorised transactions.
Build a relationship through choice. Let supporters choose whether to hear about future offers or participate in eligible campaigns. Holding a key should not automatically authorise profiling or marketing.
Make the records easier to follow. Shared entitlement and transaction records are intended to support clearer verification, payment allocation and resolution when something goes wrong.
OWN THE AUDIENCE. NOT RENT IT
More than a place to publish.
A release can be more that a stream or a download. It can give supporters a clear relationship with your work – what they can access, which benefits they receive and whether an entitlement can be transferred.
GEX’s proposed approach connects those terms to a digital key beneath a familiar account and payment experience. Your fans should not need a specialist technical knowledge to understand what they hold.
What is a digital key? In GEX’s proposed model, it would be a digital record linking a supporter to the access, benefits and any permitted transfer rights they receive. It would not give them ownership of your copyright.

creator Profiles
A shared foundation. A profile that fits you.Â
Your work is different. Your profile should reflect that. GEX’s proposed creator profiles start with a shared foundation, then let you choose your field – such as music, film or business – to access features and options tailored to what you do. You would have a consistent starting point, with room to shape a profile around your work rather than fit it into a one-size-fits-all format.Â

Artists & Bands
Your sound is your own, and your profile should reflect it. GEX’s proposed music profiles would combine the shared foundation with features and options tailored to you as a music creator, promoter or music industry professional wanting to promote your skills.

Sports & Athletes
Your sporting identity deserves a profile that reflects who you are. GEX’s proposed athlete and sports-star profiles would combine the shared foundation with features and options tailored to your field.Â

Film & Television
Your perspective shapes your stories, whether you create independently or with a team. GEX’s proposed film profiles would combine the shared foundation with field-specific features and options to reflect your work and creative identity.Â

Your public presence. A profile with you identity.
There is more to you than a public label. GEX’s proposed celebrity and influencer profiles would combine the shared foundation with field-specific features and options to reflect your voice, work and public identity.Â

User Generated Content
You do not need a professional label to share what you love making. GEX’s proposed hobbyist and UGC profiles would combine the shared foundation with category-specific options, whether you create for enjoyment or want to explore new possibilities.Â

Your business. A profile that reflects what you do.
Your business has its own identity and way of working. GEX’s proposed business profiles would combine the shared foundation with category-specific features and options, rather than a format designed for a different kind of creator.Â
advertising
Optional offers. Not compulsory advertising.
We are exploring an advertising layer built around voluntary participation: a supporter could choose a relevant offer, establish eligibility and receive the benefit described in that campaign.
The principle is simple: declining an advertiser offer should not remove access or benefits already purchased. Campaign permission would be separate from holding a key, and a new holder would make their own choice after a transfer.
Where appropriate, eligibility checks could limit disclosure rather than expose a supporter’s full purchase history. Privacy still depends on the complete design, data flow and safeguards. Campaign availability, rewards and commercial outcomes are not guaranteed.

SOVEREIGN MEDIA PROTOCOL
The shared layer underneath.
Behind the scenes, GEX’s proposed Sovereign Media Protocol (SMP) would connect records across services that use it: who holds a release, what they can access or do, what they have agreed to share and how agreed payments should be divided.Â
For you, the aim is clearer release terms and records that are easier to check when questions arise. SMP would not replace copyright, your agreements, customer support or applicable law.Â
GETTING READY
Where we are today.
GEX is in development, with launch targeted for late 2027, subject to product, security, legal and operational milestones. Features and operating arrangements remain subject to implementation, testing and continuing review.
We are also developing the GEX Academy to help creators understand their rights, prepare professional releases and strengthen commercial readiness. Planned education, tools and partner support are not yet a promise of available services. Our priority is to test a bounded entertainment experience, learn from creators and supporters, and demonstrate value before expanding.
The intended model is for you to retain your copyright. Your release agreement would define the distribution and other permissions you grant. You would also need permission to license any third-party material included in your work.
No. Earnings and audience response would depend on your offer, demand, costs and agreed payment terms. Proposed resale and advertising features would not guarantee buyer or income.
The intended design keeps purchased access and benefits separate from optional advertiser offers. Fans would choose whether to participate; declining an offer should not remove anything they have already bought.
Not yet. GEX remains in development. However with twelve months to our anticipated launch we would love to help creators get prepared with something special for their fans and supporters. Start a conversation today!
What are you creating? Who is it for? What would you like supporters to receive – and what would make the relationship better for both of you?
We welcome conversations with creators, independent studios, labels and rights holders interested in exploring the approach and challenging its assumptions.
